NAME
and
HISTORY
The
'Vanessa'
is
a
common
colourful
meadow
butterfly.
After
having
fed
on
nettles
as
a
catipillar,
it
then
forms
a
cocoon
and
later,
after
its'
metamorphosis,
comes
forth
through
the
stinging
weeds
in
all
its'
splendor!
The
very
first
day
I
set
foot
here,
on
a
mild
winter
day
in
mid
January,
I
happened
to
come
across
one
just
behind
the
house
amongst
newly-born
daisies.
(
The
house
is
set
in
a
sunny
position
and
the
weather
is
never
too
harsh!
)
THE
OWNER
The
country
inn
is
run
by
Judy,
an
American
from
the
state
of
Michigan,
known
for
its
lush
multitude
of
forests
and
lakes.
I
have
lived
in
Viareggio
for
many
years,
but
have
always
dreamt
of
returning
to
the
vast
green
countryside
and
offering
my
hospitality
to
those
who
wish
to
vacation
and
relax
in
a
natural
environment
near
the
sea
and
cultural
art
centres
with
the
added
possibility
of
experiencing
beneficial
holistic
therapy
through
techniques
I
have
studied.

and
in
the
summer
is
delicately
shaded
with
a
natural
screen
of
trees
and
conifers
within
the
small
valley
of
Mount
Pitoro
in
the
green
county
of
Camaiore
in
Versilia!
